Ellendale unveils new park and recreation space
We are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new park at Ellendale, featuring state-of-the-art play equipment designed to suit all ages.
The new park and recreation space sits alongside stunning natural bushland and is sure to be enjoyed by Upper Kedron residents for many years to come!
The park features a one-of-a-kind playground, including a unique eight metre play tower, climbing nets, tunnel slides, swings, quattro see-saw, shade sails and a hill structure for toddlers.
It also comprises three sheltered lookout areas, a barbeque, links to walk and cycle pathways and a 500sqm kick-about space, with views across the Ellendale community.
The park was envisioned to be fun, functional and environmentally friendly and designed with the whole community in mind.
Cedar Woods Senior Development Manager, Peter Starr, said the new Ellendale park provided a vibrant recreation hub for residents to enjoy.
“This will be the central meeting place for residents and families to come together to relax, play and socialise, while enjoying 360 degree views of the adjoining South D’Aguilar National Park,” he said.
“Anyone from the surrounding Upper Kedron and Keperra area is also invited to enjoy the park and see what makes Ellendale special – the beautiful natural surrounds and warm community atmosphere.”
In total, more than 40 per cent of the Ellendale community will be dedicated to open space, with over 50 hectares already handed to Brisbane City Council as conservation land.
